Ryan Garcia is one of the brightest stars in boxing, known for his explosive speed, powerful left hook, and social media presence. His achievements in the amateur ranks have been nothing short of incredible with a record of 215-15 and becoming a 15-time National Champion, winning a silver medal at the 2014 USA Junior National Championships, securing a gold medal at the 2016 World Youth Championships, participating in the Youth Olympic Team for USA Boxing, and many more. Born in Victorville, CA, Garcia turned professional at the young age of 17 in June 2016, and quickly became a major force in the boxing world. He made his Golden Boy debut vs. Jose Antonio Martinez on the undercard of Bernard Hopkins’ final fight at The Forum in December 2016. By 2021, he secured the WBC Interim Lightweight Title with a dominant win over Luke Campbell after facing adversity early in the fight, further cementing his place as one of boxing’s brightest young stars. Garcia’s marketability skyrocketed, turning him into one of the sport’s most recognizable names. His journey, and his willingness to face tough challenges, has taken him into high-profile matchups with some of the biggest names in the sport. In April 2023, he faced Gervonta “Tank” Davis in a highly-anticipated clash of undefeated boxing stars. Despite a valiant effort, Garcia suffered a knockout loss in the seventh round, but the fight showcased his ability to compete at the elite level and solidified his place among the top contenders in the division. He was most recently seen in April 2024 after dominating Devin “The Dream” Haney in a fan-friendly fight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Garcia was a major underdog due to the turbulent promotion he undertook for the lead-up to the bout. Garcia’s lightning-fast, powerful left hook shifted the momentum of the fight as he scored three knockdowns to secure the upset win by majority decision.
