Tristan Kalkreuth continues building momentum in the cruiserweight division while living up to his “Sweet T” nickname by bringing the “T-Party” every time he steps into the ring.

In his latest outing, Kalkreuth defeated Mexico’s Marco Canedo in an action-packed battle at the SAP Center in San Jose. The back-and-forth matchup delivered an entertaining, fan-friendly fight before Kalkreuth closed the show with a sixth-round knockout. Following the victory, he celebrated with his signature backflip in the ring, giving fans another memorable moment. Kalkreuth entered the bout riding an eight-fight win streak, continuing a strong resurgence following the lone loss of his professional career.

Before that, he scored a second-round TKO over Houston’s Devonte Williams on the Oscar Duarte vs. Kenneth Sims Jr. undercard at Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago. A perfectly placed left hook to the body left Williams unable to continue after the second round. Earlier in 2025, “Sweet T” reaffirmed his future with Golden Boy by re-signing with the company, signaling the promotion’s continued belief in one of its promising young contenders.

Before turning professional, Kalkreuth established himself as one of the country’s top amateur prospects, becoming a two-time USA Boxing National Champion in the youth division while compiling more than 100 amateur bouts. He made his professional debut in August 2019 on the undercard of Vergil Ortiz Jr. vs. Antonio Orozco at The Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas, shortly after signing with Golden Boy in June of that year.
