Yair Gallardo is a 22-year-old light heavyweight prospect from Chihuahua, Mexico, who turned professional in October 2022 after an accomplished amateur career with over 100 bouts. Gallardo continues to build momentum as a rising prospect, most recently earning a unanimous decision victory over Canada’s Buneet Bisla. After scoring a knockdown in the second round, Gallardo remained in control for the rest of the bout, capturing the NABO and WBC FECARBOX light heavyweight titles. Prior to that performance, he delivered a first-round knockout of Elio Heraldo Trosch in Puerto Rico, further establishing himself as one of the division’s promising young contenders.
