Cruiserweight division, take notice — Robin “ROBZ” Safar is on the rise.
In his most recent outing, Safar captured the WBC Silver Cruiserweight title with a hard-fought split decision victory over Yamil Peralta at the SAP Center in San Jose, serving as the co-main event to Amari Jones vs. Vincenzo Gualtieri. After overcoming an early knockdown, Safar rallied back and proves his grit to secure the biggest win of his career to date.
Prior to that, Safar earned a unanimous decision victory over the previously unbeaten Derrick Miller Jr. on the undercard of Vergil Ortiz Jr. vs. Erickson Lubin at Dickies Arena, further solidifying his status as one of boxing’s fastest-rising contenders. Earlier in 2025, Safar made his Golden Boy debut, scoring a fifth-round TKO over Roberto Silva in Cancun, Mexico.
Safar first captured widespread attention in the summer of 2024 when he scored a breakthrough victory over former light heavyweight world champion Sergey Kovalev in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – a statement performance that established him as a serious force in the cruiserweight division. Now ranked inside the top 15 by every major sanctioning body, including No. 10 by Ring Magazine, Safar quickly emerges as a contender on the verge of a world title opportunity.
The Stockholm native grew up in the suburb of Visättra, where he faced a difficult environment that helped shape his resilience and determination. ROBZ discovered boxing at 19 as a way to change the course of his life, and under the guidance of trainer Ibn Cason, has developed into an undefeated professional with a 20-0 record and 13 knockouts.
